Insanity Expected from the Viking Champions

When upgraded to its fullest potential, this ability offers several benefits.
These include a decrease in the amount of food needed, an increase in pierce armor, and an added boost in damage against cavalry.
Additionally, units with this ability have the ability to earn gold by eliminating enemy villagers.
I disagree.
Especially the gold generation point.
I like most of the charges but it’s a terrible UT.
It’s locked behind a castle upgrade and 5g per villager is nothing.
Champions are not raiding units.
Hopefully they’ll get thumb ring again.
Not unrealistic for them to kill enough vills to be technically trash Champions.
Will they get the new tech tho?
RIP meso civs.
Also am glad that Longboats got nerfed, the unit was a big annoyance in castle age
They are going to be like every other Champion except some more HP.
They will still be worse than Japanese and Aztec Champs (and Malian depending on use-case).
They’re probably gonna remove supplies if this doesn’t work out well

Viking champions will be less useless than they are now, but still useless

To put it into numbers:
Viking Champs have:
* 84 HP (from +20% HP civ bonus)
* 13+4 attack
* 1+3/1+5 armor (from full blacksmith armor and Gambeson)
* +8 bonus vs Eagle Warriors (base)
* +6 bonus vs standard building (base + Arson)
* +5 bonus vs Cavalry (Chieftains)
* +4 bonus vs Camel (see above)
* Generate gold by killing vills/carts/monks
I still want longboats to be able to transport Berserkers.
