Nah some of those comments were not lighthearted at all.
It was really disgusting, I saw some *horrible* messages.
The mods didn’t seem to care either, they were too busy banning copypastas or just watching the event.

What i always liked about aoe2 community was wholesomeness, maturity and recpect for eachother.
Jokes are funny, even the edgy ones, but being a trully unique and free of insult community is way more important.

*even* if the comment is positive, it’s still not nice when you go into specifics about someone’s body, what you may find nice maybe that person’s source of insecurity or maybe it’s just awkward for everyone involved
“hey girl nice ass you got there” is awkward for everyone(yes, saying that to a man is also very awkward)
Rule of thumb, unless that person is open to receiving compliments, or the focus is on a specific bodypart you only comment on things that person has done.

edit: also jfc some folks here really think the players are clowns servants just serving for entertainment first, person second.
