I’m really thrilled about my first game!

I read that usually it takes 10-20 games for a player’s Elo rating to even out, but I got lucky and won my first game.

I rushed a castle and dropped it on my opponent’s base wall, and they resigned right away.

I can’t help but feel ecstatic and I’m ready to jump back in for the next game.

Is this a common occurrence or did I just get lucky?

I’m assuming this was on Xbox (and not cross-input) from your previous posts.

I had similar ranked anxiety going in due to this subreddit, but most here have played only on PC.

Xbox ranked was a gradual climb in difficulty and quite pleasant for me.

There was no sudden difficulty spikes out of nowhere to send me back crashing back to my true elo etc.

Xbox has a steady influx of newer players starting at the same time for other newer players to match against.

    Skill levels vary dramatically.

If you‘ve consumed your fair share of tutorials, got your build order up until castel age down to a good time and practiced it alot and have a good grasp on how to close out games you can get to the skill of 1k elo in no time at all – which means you should lose the same amount as you win in your first ranked matches.

Honestly I won 7/10 of my first ranked games.

I watched streams before playing and I am not bad a strategy games in general.

So I just had to practice a BO and could wipe out most enemys with no problem.
