My advice depends on where you’re going with this.
If you want to stick to single player:
– the AI is very weak vs static defenses.
It is totally lost against a trush.
It will suicide itself into your castle if you build it forward compared to your other buildings.
The AI mostly makes a beeline to the closest enemy building, even if it is an abandoned mining camp.
They rarely circumvent your defenses to prioritize raiding your economy.
– The AI is terrible against archer rushes.
It easy to have won a game by early castle age by virtue of having wiped out all their villagers.
– The AI overreacts to scout rushes and over invests in spears.
Transition onto archers thereafter and they are toast.
If you’re interested in playing multiplayer, you best abandon playing the AI altogether.
Playing against it generally leads to bad habits that hamper your ability to shine in multiplayer.
The only single player scenarios I would really recommend in that case are the ‘Art of War’ tutorials, which seem to have been made with multiplayer in mind and which, in any case, present some challenges, even for decent players, at least if you’re going for the gold medals.
Vs humans I think there is a lot of information out there, build orders and a lot of great content creators an YouTube (Survivalist, Hera, T90, …) who put out very good learning material, either with tips and analyses in them, or by casting games of people and commenting on their mistakes.
