I’m playing against the computer on skirmish mode and it seems like I can’t keep up with the speed of the AI.

What can I do to better my chances of winning?

Is this a symptom of CK3 brainrot?

Please let me know in the comments below.

The moderate difficulty is actually fairly difficult.

I’d recommend starting with standard or easy.

Well, being on an Xbox means you’re liable to be restricted to a lower top speed compared to PC players.

What AI difficulty is it though?

A lot of the speed and stuff comes from practice, knowing what to do properly will make a big difference to how fast you can execute stuff, as you’ll be executing the right stuff.

    11 omg where to begin.

No, you do not have brain rot.

The game on Xbox attempts to simplify it for you, but it’s actually a very complex game.

Wood is needed for buildings, like houses, economic drop off points, military production buildings, and town centers.

Food is needed to produce villagers out of your town center.

The more gatherers you have, the more resources you’ll be able to spend.

Food is also used for producing military units, along with wood and gold.

Gold can be used to buy a resource at the market.

Gold is also used for stronger military units like heavy horse, heavy infantry, monks, or siege, and later technologies at the university.

The whole game is about balancing your economy towards what you want to produce, and when your economy is producing efficiently, you’ll have 0 resources floating.

It’s an impossible balance that we all try to achieve.

Just keep trying different build orders, watch tons of YT content, and have fun out there.

if you are a beginner and dont intend to get into pvp ranked quickly, turn down the game speed.

Per default its set to 1.7 of the original speed, which is fine once you get used to the game, but can be really overwhelming when starting out.

In skirmish mode changing the speed is something you can set before the game, and/or activate the option to change it in game.

Also no shame in pausing from time to time to catch some breath when playing against the ai.
