Haven’t been able to open my game in weeks, I think after an update.

I can’t remember when this started, because I switched to Age of Mythology when I couldn’t open my game anymore. Beat every AOM campaign and the DLC, so now I have been trying to open AOE2 again for like a week. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice. The opening theme will start and play audio, but if I click, it crashes. If I wait for the intro to play out, it just becomes an infinitely black screen instead of showing the main menu (then crashes). I have had it from the Microsoft Store for the past 2-3 years and am considering buying it from Steam, but I’ve purchased every DLC and obviously consider it a huge waste of money to buy everything again. Does anyone have any idea what to do?
I get the same thing happening. I tried to make sure AoE2 wasn’t being blocked by my antivirus. I’m not sure if that made a difference.
The only luck I’ve had is to launch the game, minimize it or have another window open over AoE2 and then just wait like 5 or 10 minutes for the opening cutscene to end. Then if I open the window, the menu is there. It doesn’t always work though. I’m not sure how long I have to wait.
