    Rather than dodging arrows, Gurjaras should not have to contend with ranged melee or gunpowder projectiles.

    One option would be to reduce their speed by 0.2 or remove their husbandry.

    Another solution would be to make the shield gauge depend on the amount of damage taken instead of how quickly a ranged unit can fire.

    That’s my two cents.

    So many angles are possible.

    They should also not be produced 50% faster than knights and light cav.

    They could take the minimal 1 damage per projectile while the shield is on.

    Speed nerf is a must, IMO.

    And make the shield applying to pierce damage only, so they still die to siege.

    Let it keep the speed and Dodge but reduce HP by 10 to 45/60 and Attack by 1 to 7/10.

    If needed, increase Pierce armour to 2
    The siege thing is by design it seems.

    They want that Dodge mechanic.

    They just remove the stupid godamned bar and just give them pierce armor.

    Keep the speed, but make them squishy as shit to anything but arrows.

    I like the idea of having UU with unique gameplay.

    But the SR is just off.

    It combines too much aspects.

    In AOE2 you can never have everything.

    Cheap units?

    No imp armor e.g.

    SR has not only the dodge mechanic which implies that it is thought as a agile/fast unit, also its moving speed is set to a stupidly high number explicitely.

    That is just wrong and feels wrong.

    The fact that the mechanic also applies to any attack makes it even worse.

    Probaply the worst thing is having them in your eco.

    You can’t catch up, your TCs will do less/no damage.

    Bonus: Want to counter them with cav?

    Already have stables and blacksmith upgrades for camels.

    I see too few drawbacks for that much speed.

    Just remove the unit imho gurjara have enough bonuses and could just play skirm like everyone else.
