Frank and the Inca’s Strength Increase

    Since the Franks have been doing exceptionally well in the lower-mid elo, and the Incas are not doing as well, I suggest taking the free farming upgrades from the Franks and giving them to the Incas.

    The Incas are well-known for their farming and they could use any economic bonuses to compete with the powerful civilizations of today, while the Franks still have their berry bonus.

    So taking away franks farm buff would be a bit too much in my opinion, I think they will be ok on lower elo still, but just weak on higher elos.

    Incas would become very strong, not sure if they would be OP, but as of right now incas are pretty balanced.

    Just making their relics give 33 percent stone could be cool.

    Or just replace their castle age unique tech with something stronger such as buildings take 40 percent less damage from seige projectiles.

    Farming bonus is kinda their identity.

    And why remove their identity away from them… like they did to the Incas!!!! -_-

    The Franks’ farm bonus is one of the original civ bonuses, I believe even dating back to the 90’s CD version.

    A huge part of this game is the nostalgia.

    We don’t need to get rid of or switch some of the staples of the game.

    I don’t think that’s a good idea.

    Franks are too predictable at lower levels and at the pro pevel pros don’t consider them as that overpowered.

    Incas also can play against archer civs and cav civs just fine imo.

    They have kamayuks and halbs against cav, skirms and eagles against arbs and slingers for enemy infantry or enemy eagles.

    I think they’re just fine.

    They can be buffed with a small eco bonus, but free farm upgrades is not small.

    Idk, maybe make their starting llama consumed really fast, like Mongols eating a boar, to boost their early eco a little bit and allow them to be a bit more aggressive.

    But in any case, I think they are just fine as the way they are, and obviously it’s just my opinion.

    I don’t think I would take the farm bonus from the Sicilians and give it to the Incas.

    we could also give him the extra 100 stone that Sicilians also start with

    Maybe unpopular opinion but Franks don’t need a nerf you just need to get good at the game and adapt based on the Frank players choices.

    Incas are good 1v1 ara, but below average on a number of other settings.

    I would:

    – give back 1 attack on slingers, the nerf from 5 to 4 attack wasn’t needed.

    – give villagers hp from blacksmith upgrades from feudal (someone had a good post working out the ideal numbers, I think it was 5 hp per blacksmith tech but don’t remember), gives good bonus without making vil fights absurd.

    – give back the old team bonus – unpopular opinion but I liked it more than the current one.

    I would just buff it so that farm upgrades also research faster, could also maybe increase its effect, e.g 3x faster instead of 2x.

    – give couriers UT +10% speed to the unit it affects on top of current effect, or at least 10% speed to eagles.

    This would make it easier to snipe siege with eagles, currently SO is quite a weakness for them on closed maps.

    Franks would be quite mediocre without free farm ups, they would still see play as pocket but not much else.

    They mostly just become a worse Magyars at that point.

    Because of the quite limited options Franks live or die by their eco/military bonuses – if it is similar or worse than other cav civs then they will get overshadowed by them.

    Definitely a good idea, and fixes the historical innacuracy of Inca having generic farms.

    The only stipulation i would make would be to buff the beemrry bonus.

    Make Frank forage bushes last, like 100% or something as well as be harvested faster.

    I think they are the go to civ for beginners by design kinda.

    Answering them is kinda par for the next level of skill imo
