I’ll post my results with the Celts in due course.

This was a very satisfying breakdown, cheers for sharing!

I’m the opposite. 1150ish whose comfort zone is archers.

Mobility is my weakness, that and I’m a lazy waller, so the counter raids destroy me.

Also bad at transitioning to booming.

Ok, so I guess I’m just bad, but luckily this game is amazing and that’s okay.

Byz definitely feel like a defensive, adaptable civ.

    Not my playstyle!

Hey thanks for the tag 🙂

You’re giving me traumatic flashbacks with the Byzantine review!

I had a hard time with them too, I played them when I was around 1050 Elo and didn’t really understand how to get value from the cheap counter units or how to use discounted Imperial effectively…

    or play archers effectively!

I would love to revisit them one day to see if I can redeem myself.

For Celts: Don’t sleep on feudal/castle archers.

They obviously have strong M@A and following up with 2 ranges (very easy with woodcutting bonus) can lead to a NASTY Xbow spike for them.

Celts kinda fizzle out 1 v.s. 1 after Castle Age so I’d recommend keeping the pressure on.

Oppressive Castles, Siege/Pike, raiding, raiding, raiding.

Playing Hoang style is really fun too.
