Fast-Moving Fire Ship Technology Not Available on Xbox

After playing my second 1v1 island match on Xbox, I implemented a different strategy by using Spanish, Fire Ships, and Galleons.
I was initially confused as to why I couldn’t upgrade the Fire Ships, but after examining my Blacksmith and University, I remembered that I needed to do the Galleon upgrade first before I could upgrade the Fire Ships.
This made me realize that some of the technology upgrades may not be immediately apparent, and could be confusing for new players.
Furthermore, the icon for the upgrade is not visible anywhere, making it even more difficult to figure out.
This suggests that the technology upgrade system may need to be improved to make it easier to understand on console.
Despite this, I am still very impressed with the console version!
The more general problem is that the War Galley upgrade is confusing.
It gives more than just Galley -> War Galley.
This has been noted for a long time and I would prefer it to be changed at some point.
Just change the name to “Advanced ship designs” or something more creative.
The “war galley” technology is required first, and will upgrade all of your galleys, fire galleys, and demolition rafts to war galley, fire ship, and demolition ship respectively.
After researching war galley in castle age, later on in imperial age you can upgrade the ships depending on what technologies your civilization has access to.
Here you could finish off with researching fast fire ship, galleon, and/or heavy demolition ship.
