I recently started playing Age of Empires 2 again with the Xbox version, and my brother is a big fan of two particular units.

He usually starts off by building his economy before engaging in battle, so I’m thinking that most of the civilizations with those units are mainly from the Feudal or Castle Age.

What civilization should I suggest to him?

The only civ that has access to both of these units are the Aztecs

If you brother loves late game power and unique units I would recommend Hindustanis and Byzantines.

Hindustanis Ghulam looks and works pretty similar to eagle warrior.

Byzantines Cataphract counters infantry just like Jaguar and is 100x cooler.

Aztec unique unit is Jaguar warrior.

Three civs have access to eagle warrior, Aztec, Mayan, and Inca aka meso civs more commonly

There is 3 civs with eagles and 1 with jaguars so there isn’t much too chose between.

Btw the three civs in question aren’t really good late game civs because once gold runs low they don’t have much options.

Also your units mostly are cheap and the strongest late game civs usually rely on more expensive but stronger options.

If you want Jaguar Warriors, you need to go Aztecs – they are exclusive to that civ.

All Eagle civs kinda rely on early aggression, but if he picks civs based on units he likes, he doesn’t sound like a try-hard to me, so it doesn’t matter that much.

Mayans have the best late-game eagles, recommend them.

If he likes slower play then incas or hindustanis(their unique unit is basically an eagle) might be good choices, both have eagles or eagle like units and excel in the late game.

Though aztecs do have those 2 units and from how your brother sounds viability might not be what he cares about
