I often employ “Enhanced Resources” mods/datasets to increase the resources of certain items.
For example, trees are upgraded from 100 to 350 wood, farms are given 12000 food instead of 175, gold mines contain 8000-10000 gold instead of 800, and stone mines are also improved.
These mods make for longer, more chaotic and exciting games with more expensive units and more fun.
offical dataset, i rarly run into games online where we run out of ressources but them protecting trade then is so thrilling 😀 love these games
Everything is either official, or Rome at War for me.
No messing around with this kind of stuff, makes the game less balanced.
I like to play the random cost mod every now and then.
Cost of things changes even when aging up and/or when upgrading.
So scout cavalry can be 1w and then light cav suddenly costs 1000 food 800 gold haha.
Makes for very weird but fun games
