Countering Mass Siege Losers

I’m so fed up with continually being defeated by these players who just spam cannons.
I’ve tried cavalry and archers, but nothing seems to work.
It’s even worse when my teammate isn’t doing anything.
I’m aware that I can get a bit carried away with my feelings, so I’m glad that this community doesn’t stand for toxicity.
I recently switched over from Apex, so please bear with me as I learn the ropes of this game.

You should be able to dive Bombard Cannons with cav.
If you can’t, then presumably the enemy actually has skill, and can attack ground and micro and guard them properly, which means they are actually pretty good at it, and the insults are unwarranted.
So first thing to address, this community prides itself on being more wholesome and less toxic than most so starting out name-calling is not going to endear you.
Secondly siege weapons are some of the hardest units to properly micro (which is why mangos and BBC aren’t used nearly as much at low elo) so your insults are also unwarranted.
Regarding how to counter them, it depends.
Some options include monks (research redemption, sanctity and block printing for them) your own BBC (useful if the enemy has a strong screening force protecting their siege) and finally any (non elephant) calvary (easiest to use and best if the enemy is heavy on siege but doesn’t have enough troops in front.
Like others have said, the aoe community is an anomaly.
It is one of the most mature, friendliest, and least toxic competitive communities that I’ve ever experienced.
This game is balanced, and if you are losing, you are the loser, not them.
If you get so salty from losing a couple times that you need to bring it to reddit you probably should switch to another game because you have a lifetime worth of frustrating game losing problems to face and learn from.
Every unit you said you had problems with have different ways to kill them, and different times they are extra strong.
Bombard cannons are long range, and are super fragile.
Protecting them can be difficult and micro intensive, but if you have the better army to protect them they are hard/impossible to stop (without great micro).
When you get run over by them it’s usually (not always) a sign the game has been over for a while and it’s the last nail in the coffin.
As for all the others, gunpowder units are super snowbally.
If you let them get out of hand the counters stop really being effective, so you just have to pressure early and take smart fights or they can be impossible to stop.
I would also take every counter you read about online with a grain of salt, because the level of effectiveness really depends on your skill and your opponents skill.
What cannons are you referring to and on what map?
Ranged units are generally countered by cavalry but you need to provide more details.
Given how you are describing the units, I’m guessing you are as experiences as your teammates.
11 just mass cav and dive even if you are losing a lot of cav to take out the bbc you will still be throwing an army cheaper and quicker to produce than bbc
if they are “brain dead” and still beat u, I think that says something about u buddy
Mongols and Magyars have UU that snipe siege.
If I lose to the same strategy a few times try chatting to the person at the end and ask for their advice on what other people have done to beat it.
Failing that, try a strategy a few times and you will start to get some good ideas on how other people work around it
You know you can play keyboard and mouse on Xbox to make it a bit easier
Trebuchets and BBC are the main tools in AoE2 to turn a lead into a win, but they are fragile and extremely expensive.
If they are killing you, your opponent was likely already ahead.
