Is there a way to use a controller while playing Age of Empires 2 on the Xbox Console Companion app on PC?

I usually use a controller to play video games because I’m more familiar with it.

Yes, you can.

I’ve done it this week.

It worked quite automatically with the controller, the most tedious part for me was connecting to the xbox but that should be easy if it is already on the same network (it wasn’t for me)

Edit: I already had my xbox controller connected to pc with a usb cable but for wireless I think you need to buy some adapter but any micro usb cable (the variant all phones were charged with before usb c was a thing) will work
