Computer Game Age of Empires II Causes Unexpected Shutdowns

I’m having trouble with AOE2 on my top-notch computer (Asus 3070, I9 9900k, 16 GB Ram).
It randomly crashes, sometimes within seconds of entering the main menu, and sometimes after a few minutes of playing.
I’ve tried reinstalling the game, updating my graphics drivers, and checking for Windows updates, but nothing’s worked.
Has anyone else had this issue?
This is a bug introduced by the xbox release.
PC players have been crashing ever since.
Unfortunately, your best bet is to wait until the patch comes out, and it could take another couple of weeks before that happens. 🙁

its infuriating me.
I was about to reinstall windows! 12700k + 3080 so i knew it couldn’t be hardware related!
Open Microsoft store.
Click library.
Update all.
