The flaming does hurt.
People who say that he should “just ignore it” show that they simply don’t know what it means to be the target.
I really value Hera’s content, he’s very dedicated and helpful for the community.
I really hope he’ll be able to preserve himself because the AOE pro scene is so much better with him, and he still has a lot to win 🙂
Hera is massive for the well being of the AOE2 community, besides being an amazing pro player his content creation skills are way above the curve.
He is the kind of guy that throws more people into the game and guide them through all the steps, no matter if you are a low, mid or high Elo player, he’s got you covered.
All the love for him and everyone who works on making this community not only survive, but thrive!
Hera is great for the pro scene and the community, putting out helpful videos on YT for those looking to improve.
You don’t have to like him but be respectful, ffs.
From reading comments about him it seems he puts too much pressure on himself – I’ve heard the “sorry I let you down” comment multiple times.
Hera you didn’t let anyone down!
It’s obvious he cares a lot about his fans/community but I don’t think the above mindset is healthy or sustainable for good mental health.
Losses will happen, even big ones.
It’s like your parents say when you’re a kid: did you do your best?
That’s all anybody can ask.

not a hera fanboi but let me put it this way:
NO ONE has the right to blame him for losing to anyone, no matter if it’s the snek or not or if it’s on the ladder or in a tournament.
Hera is one of the most productive aoe2 content creators on YouTube and Twitch, and his effort to build up a better and healthier aoe2 community is huge and obvious.
We should give respect to such a figure.
Otherwise this community would end up being dead in a close future.
I’m pretty new to the online aoe scene, infact I’m yet to play a match made game, but I’ve been watching t90?
Or something do some casts and he mentioned hera, found his channel and it’s great, they both seem like real people, no twitch persona or anything, I think hera is a pretty cool guy and he doesn’t afraid of anything

Isn’t this just hera malding after losing the game?
He’s known to be a rager.
Every popular streamer gets hate.
Seems like he’s just trying to let some steam off.
I met Hera a few weeks ago.
I got roped into watching my 3 month old niece while my sister got her hair done.
So there I am, sitting in the waiting area of a hair salon with my niece and who walks in but Hera himself.
I was nervous af, and just kept looking at him, as he watched twitch on his phone and waited, but I was too shy to say anything to him.
Pretty soon my niece started crying, and I’m trying to quiet her down because I didn’t want her to bother Hera, but she wouldn’t stop.
Pretty soon he gets up and walks over.
He said hello and started running his hands through her hair and asking what was wrong.
I replied that she was probably hungry or something.
So Hera put down his phone, picked up my niece and lifted his shirt.
He breast fed her right there in the middle of the hair salon.
Chill guy, really nice about it.
I’m a viper fanboy and I love hera because I can watch viper play at his best and not know if he’s going to win or not thanks to hera
I met him in Germany during the last Redbull Wololo.
He was very nice to me even tho I interrupted his order at McDonalds 11
I was surprised that one of the first things he said to me was “sorry for letting you down and loosing in the tournament”.
I thanked him for all his great educational content.
Hera, you’re an absolute legend of this game and it’s perfectly okay to loose sometimes 🙂
Giving any attention to twitch chat during a tournament is a losing battle
It’s quite mild in aoe2.
Of course this doesn’t excuse the fact that these people are shitty,but it’s just a waste of time and energy to even give them a moment of your time
What’s wrong with people that they have to get insulating because their player loses the finals?
Whether Hera is the most hated on player like he says, I can’t really say.
But the twitch mob does always suck.
Every result to them is indicative of some final grand judgement about the person/the situation.
Whenever Viper loses, he is “washed” and people are calling the end of his reign.
Hera loses, people make judgements about how he will always choke in big games.
People just need to accept that there doesn’t always need to be a hot take after every result.
Sometimes a player is just playing better on a given day – and they win.
That’s it.
I need a bit more context, how did he get flame?
From people?
For reaching a final and los versus the Viper?
Absurd.
Hera, my man, we love you and you are by far the best teacher we have.
Even if you got 2nd you are best because I haven’t learnt from the other players together even a 10% of what I have learnt from you.
