Bengalis Versus Skirmishers

If I am up against a large number of skirmishers, I have to consider my options. Champions and Battle Elephants are both good choices, but they are costly and the Battle Elephant is very expensive. I am curious to see how Bengali Battle+Archer Phantos fare against Pikes and Skirms. Perhaps the damage reduction makes it a viable option. Light Cavalry is another option, but there is no Hussar so I am not sure if it is a good choice against Imperial Skirms or post Imperial Skirms. I would appreciate any advice.
Bengali light cav has all upgrades, just like Chinese or Portuguese.
Missing the hussar upgrade is not that big if you mainly face skirmishers.
Light cav late game and mangonel castle age.
Just putting it out there that one can always go skirms vs skirms
As others have mentioned, light cav is a great option and so is siege as per normal.
You also get FU skirms yourself though which is a possibility.

I see they have bigger problem facing camels.
