The Build Order Guide website provides a guide on what to do at certain points in a game.
It suggests when you should “click up” to progress to the next age and what the time frame should be.
It is unclear whether the times are actual or game times.
It is also uncertain if the suggested times are when you “click up” or when you have actually reached the next age.
9:40 is 21 pop+ loom uptime arrival
Hi, funny that I just noticed that you linked my BO 😀 I wrote that for my beginner friends a year ago or something 😀
Yeah it’s about arrival and its always in-game time.
Over time you will get used to the most common uptimes.
9.15: 20pop scouts, and thats where I always calculate every deviation from.
So when someone hits before that, I know its even faster than 20pop, and when someone hits after 9:40 I know its even slower than 21pop (everything in between can be idle time 11)
And on Arena Im on a level where everybody does 23+2 FCs, so the 10:30 mark or at least sub11 Feudal Ages are what Im always seeing.
One important thing on Arena is to spot a fast-imp timing though, and that is basically a Feudal Age uptime past 12 minutes, because the lowest vill count in Dark Age someone would try to fast imp with is 27 (usually the BO is even 28 or 29 vills in Dark Age), so 24x25s+130s=730s and thats 12:10.
So a post-12min Feudal Age basically says fast imp (maybe not necessarely at a beginner level though 11), 10:30-11:00 says real tight FC, and 8:50 says 19pop up for tower rushes or Cuman boom.
The website also offers an “uptime calculator”
