At the moment, I am playing as Chinese using the Pick+random strategy.

I am using the following build order:

– 1 villager builds a house and then goes to gather food.

I have a total of 6 villagers gathering food.
– Another villager lures a boar towards the town center and then goes to gather food from the boar.
– 3 villagers go to gather wood.
– I continue gathering food until I reach around 17 or 18 population (I may send 4 villagers to gather berries if I have enough wood and there are deer nearby).

After that, 2 villagers go to gather wood.
– I keep gathering food until I reach around 22 population (which is approximately 20 population for other civilizations).

Do you think I need to make any changes, such as building a house with the 7th villager?

I am aware of the recent nerf to the Chinese civilization, but I do not expect it to affect this build order significantly.

I will still start with a house, build a villager and then research Loom, gather food, lure a boar, gather wood, and continue from there.

Why take boar so early?

I still do the house foundation style and 7 to food, no need for boar/hunt at that point.

On PUP atm and it’s still same, just make one vill first before Loom.
