Sometimes.
I try to have fun, and if I can make an ele or two randomly as a treat you bet I will.
Or use petards to quickly bulldoze a siege workshop to save my xbows from a mango surprise I will.
It’s not a question of winning or efficiency, it’s a question of style.
As long as it supports my clowning sure
Sometimes…
And Sometimes I just go knights as italians in order to fuck with my enemy’s mind
I am a firm beleiver in Persian infantry, Bulgarian archers and Dravidian cavalry
i always try to take advantage of as many thing that my opponent can’t do as much as possible
1v1 – focus on your enemies weakness
Team v team – focus on your civs strength
I actually try to play as poorly as possible to make my opponent feel good about themselves
Wait this is not the lotr bfme 2 subreddit
I don’t play at all which is arguably a worse gameplay strategy that trying to be bad
Nah, I just make a lot of Ram APCs and stuff them with pikemen.
I use the Spanish for that sweet sweet extra gold from trading.
Also, their cavalry are pretty monstrous.
Not only do they get full blacksmith upgrades, but they also get all cav upgrades including paladins.
Their trash units are also pretty strong, since they get all production building upgrades on top of the blacksmith grades.
They’re a solid offensive civ IMO
You don’t use monks at all?
Playing civs that have strengths is a noob trap
If you pick Spanish and don’t make conqs I don’t know what you are doing.
Only reason to pick the civ, in 1v1 that is.
Yes, always.
It’s something I probably enjoy the most in strategy games, to try and use the different strengths and weaknesses of the civs/factions involved to my advantage.
Edit: He says, with a flair of the civ with arguably the most boring bonuses in the game :-p
I play only Persians.
I only Persian douche.
So yes
Donkeys or GTFO.
