Are Low-Elo Players Preferring Console Gaming Over PC?

When I was younger, I spent a lot of time playing Age of Empires II.
Recently, I’ve come back to the game and my ELO rating is around 900.
I understand the basics of how to play a few civilizations well, such as build orders, standard counters and strategies.
However, I’m still a low ELO legend because I play on a computer without a mouse and I don’t use hot keys.
As a result, I often find myself in situations where I know what I should do, but I’m not able to execute it properly.
I’m not really interested in climbing up the ladder, but I’m curious to know if anyone else with a good understanding of the game, but poor execution skills, has tried out the console version?
It seems like the execution is much easier.
Playing on a PC with no mouse is one of the greatest handicaps you could ever ask for
Why wouldn’t you play with a mouse?
