The B tier looks inspired by the wiki
I love using cav archers from your B tier.
People don’t always expect them.
I know this is partly a joke post but for players who don’t realize: In terms of best civs to make use of cav archers, S tier is just
Huns
Tatars
because of how difficult it is for most civs to get into CA.
Magyars have generic CA until post-Imp.
Turks get more HP at some point (probably when going up to imp) on a unit that doesn’t rely on tanking damage.
Meanwhile Huns will play into CA at some point in the majority of their games because of how good an option it is for them.
Aztecs god-tier
Mongols are definitely better than generic FU CA like Japanese imo, even if you don’t have the last armor upgrade your dps is much higher
where can I make the aztec cav archer?
This is just an imp tierlist, apparently.
Otherwise, there’s no way Huns isn’t up there with the best CA civs.
Absolutely cursed
Fun fact: of the F-tier civs, Celts have the best supplementary units to make their HCA work; Hussar and Siege Ram (especially with Furor Celtica).
Try it sometime!
It’s easy, just play Celts as you normally would (Xbow+Siege) until late Castle Age/up to Imp, but instead of dropping barracks for an infantry switch you drop stables for a Hussar addition.

Persians+Cumans only lack Bracer, really gonna put them in the same tier as those missing Parthian, Thumb Ring, Bracer, and even the HCA upgrade?
They’re arguably better than Briton HCA since they have Thumb Ring+Parthian+Bloodlines (as well as the aforementioned supplementary units).
Cuman CA+Hussar are even slightly faster.

Can’t really put Goth HCA below Britons when comparing the 2; Goths have the same upgrades but also Bloodlines.
Plus they have Hussar (again, with Bloodlines).
Mayans have a really good cav archer, though.
It doesn’t get affected by Spears or Camel bonus damage and it’s cheap.
