    So, if he skips berries in dark age its archers 100%.

    You need to click up sooner and build archery range asap and start making nonstop skirms.You need to scout him at 12-16 vill count, mongol probably would be already on gold

    18 pop archers should be at the limit eco wise.

    If you hold off the damage or deal any yourself you should be in a great spot.

    They also should not be able to add in scouts, so 1 range skirms is probably going to hold pretty effectively.

    I’d keep my scout running by their base periodically to see if the add a stable or second range.

    As another commenter said though, m@a should also be pretty effective.

    Even if you don’t deal a ton of damage it will keep the archers at home while you hit feudal and make skirms.

    Build your barracks before clicking up, and either force them to respond to your army (M@A skirms trushing their gold), or fend them off to go for castle age.

    Disappointed that it says 18pop archer, not Maa archer of 17-18 pop..

    That would be a more interesting discussion.

    Answer is 19pop range and one skirm then an archer, that’s a counter.

    Or wait, do you mean 2 range archers of 18pop?

    Then need full skirms probably.

    You could probably drush him into a fucky wood situation, but it is risky if you don’t do damage you should lose.

    I don’t think I like men at arms, because they are going for the ideal unit to fight off men at arms you are basically trading a bunch of food and gold to keep the enemy at his home for a short while.

    Going for a range yourself does allow you a defenders advantage and to get some skirms out but enemy will have fletching so I think you need to go up on enough pop to pump skirms and get bs and archer armor.

    I’d guess maybe 20 pop.

    This one feels less risky than the other options to me but you gotta know the archers are coming as it only has value vs archers.

    18p into archer sacrifices a lot of eco.

    if u are drushin him u can get a heads up about what they’re going for.

    or scout him.

    skirms ASAP, first armour towering wood line even.

    your eco is gonna be just better

    you dont have to “counter” it.

    all you need to do is not die vs 3 scouts arriving in your base 1 minute earlier than usual.
