Balance moving in right direction. Good job. (I’ll pin this now, thanks for sharing Gandalf).
**Yes!** now the game launches for my Win 7 PC, niiice
I’m probably rusty as hell tho, 1 month without playing lol
Still no fix for the farm placement bug?
I’m still waiting on the so called biggest update in the history of AoE2 they keep mentioning.
They mention massive balance changes which leaves me to believe they might be trying to address core issues and not just the normal balance changes we get from time to time.
Ye gods! Could it be? This can mean only one thing…
Go turn your mods back on.
> Train 5 Siege Towers in one Skirmish or Multiplayer match before 30 minutes game time.
> 🧱 Unlocks a graphical mod where Siege Towers are replaced by Xbox Series X fridges.
Oh hell yeah now we’re talking!
On Xbox, everytime I send a villager to do something it sends two
Oh it’s just the old update…
The language hyping the next update was also toned down a bit, from “largest number of fixes and changes ever seen in a single update” to “one of the biggest updates in AoE II: DE history”. Still hyped.
Same update as a few weeks ago, which was rolled back due to issue with consoles so hopefully that’s all sorted.
IMO I like the balance changes. Obviously some I personally would love to see but in general think they’re going in the right direction.
They fixed the unit attribute bug!
PSA to re-enable all your mods~
Bug fixes for PC users:
> Fixed crashes related to Empire Wars.
> Fixed an issue where units could pass through palisades/walls/buildings.
> Fixed armor and attack attributes in custom scenarios, retroactively fixing custom-made maps.
> Fixed crashes when clicking the Reset button in Scenario Editor.
> Fixed an issue where Set Object did not always work properly.
There are ongoing investigations for pathfinding (units passing through each other) and other crashes.
From these notes it seems like the patch is not addressing the multitude of crashes that have been occurring since the Xbox version was released, or the issues with lobbies not appearing in the lobby browser.
