Don’t worry, at the end they most definitely felt like they outplayed you.
I unpause if someone pauses and doesnt say anything.
And i get hella annoyed when someone pauses then unpauses without asking if im rdy
Can you give us more info on what was said?
Specifically what did you say when you paused the game?
I don’t mind if they pause.
But I usually wait 5mins at max, if they aren’t ready then shit happens.
My view on pausing etiquette:
Person Pausing:
Always says sec or min.Max pause time should be no more than 3-5 minutes.
Always ask if opponents are ready for unpausing.
If something is gonna take more than 5 minutes, apologize and resign.
Other person:
If someone pauses and says nothing, give them a minute.If they’re not back, it’s okay to unpause.
If they ask for a sec or min, give them 5.
If they’re gone for more than 5 minutes, it’s okay to unpause.
We are all playing an over 20 year old game and I’d say the majority of us are adults with a million different things going on.
Pauses happens but it’s critical to communicate when pauses happen.
