How Did I Get Teamed Up with TheMax

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting here but I love playing this game. I was surprised to find myself playing with TheMax (#11 rank) in a 4v4 match, even though my own ranking is only 1.3k.
However, I soon realized that everyone on my team had the same ranking as me, while our opponents had two or more players with a 1.6k ranking. I wish I could have more games like this…but how can I increase my chances of getting lucky like this again?
Themax is known for queuing up in multiplayer solo. I don’t think many other known players do this. So if you want to increase your chances to queue up with him, stalk him and try to queue up at the same time.
I played a 4v4 and was flanked vs a 1950 1v1 rated guy and we managed to win, it was so cool and i learnt a lot. I held my ground letting my pockets push other side and when they werent doing that good my hussar switch was right on time, started sending them to opponents ecos and they crumbled pretty fast, usually its me who crumbles

If he waited a long time he got matched with you. The longer somebody waits the bigger elo range it takes into account when looking for games.

I’m around 1.4k tg elo and I’ve been paired several times against vivi and one time against tathoh.
Basically it just does the sum of the entire teams elo and tries to match it against a similar team.
It doesn’t matter if one is 1k and the other 1.4k, those can face a team where both players are 1.2k, but these numbers can scale up drastically in some cases.
