Xbox Multiplayer for Age of Empires II Not Functioning

Greetings all, I’m having trouble getting the multiplayer mode to function on my Xbox, even though I have an Xbox Live Gold and Game-Pass subscription.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
I got it to work by hosting a game and leaving the lobby open for a few (perhaps 10) minutes then having other players refresh until they found the lobby.
Edit: inviting now works for me.

Says “cannot connect to multiplayer services”
I’m wondering if maybe they haven’t set up servers in asia yet
I can’t find much games on PC either.
In the past, I had plenty of choices to join.
Now I see only max 10 games (with search filter “noob”).
If I create a game, nobody joins in 10min which is really weird.
A month ago, I would have 8 player under 3min
