Without Wootz Steel, they would be vulnerable to archers and Halbs, and the Medical Corps wouldn’t be able to help them much in melee combat.
Its their idenity. Having no imperial upgrades in stable. Devs even teased dravidians by sending picture of their stable
Would it matter? Nobody would build them still. Kind of like giving Britons champion, they’re still not going to build them except once In a blue moon
