I have noticed that he has not been participating in any competitive Age of Empires tournaments lately, despite having seen some amazing matches from him in the past.
Has he officially retired from competitive AOE?
He still plays in team game tournaments.
He’s listed on the [Finland A roster](https://liquipedia.net/ageofempires/Nations_Cup/2023) for the upcoming Nations Cup event.
I think, based on what T90 has said, Max has a full-time job, so he’s not as committed to AOE as he once was.
But he’s still around.
Aoe2 is just a hobby for Finn’s.
He is still around and plays aoe2 quite often, just not in the highest level 1v1 tourneys.
We actually asked him why he didn’t join nac4.
The time commitment would have been far too much and he thinks he does not have an amazing chances to get prizes currently without practicing the maps.
I somehow got in a ranked game with him just over a year ago.
Migration.

He just fell off, Finland has a high cost of living and aoe2 tournaments probably are not enough to earn a living
He was married and now has kids
