What Would Happen if Siege Towers Could Make a Wall Section Join Your Side Temporarily?

a cool concept.
Before they included the ability to jump over walls, I was wondering if it would be possible to use a siege tower to take over wall sections and then demolish them.
It may not have been the most efficient way to do it, but I find the idea of using siege towers pretty cool.
Surely a units strengths should never include you deleting things from the map?
Feels cheap.
You should be able to traverse both sides of the wall.
Like there’s gotta be a rope there on the opposite side so why not
