I have already finished playing William Wallace, Barbarossa, and almost Attila the Hun in the HD edition.

    What should I do next?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    El Cid and Montezuma

Any reason why you’re still on HD? 🙂

Unsolicited advice: Le Loi and Bayinnaung are not your friends.

Honestly, those two are the toughest campaigns on HD.

And Sundjata’s last mission ranks up right alongside them.

If you can do Attila you can do Genghis and Montezuma.

    Genghis is awesome.

Saladin is the most challenging of the original campaigns.

Most scenarios have enemy pressure along with limited power for Saladin.

After that it gets significantly harder.

Most of African Kingdoms and Rajas are brutal grinds against enemies with very big or infinite economies.

I don’t know if this is the case in HD but in DE the campaigns have a 1, 2 or 3 star difficulty rating as depicted by the number of swords on the icon by the campaign name

Since no one else has mentioned it, personally I breezed through the Tamerlane campaign.

You di have to get into an aggressive mindset which can be challenging for newer players.

But the side quests are often very rewarding

Most of the historical battles are quite simple

I would recommend Joan of Arc purely on the basis of La Hire alone.

AoK and AoC campaigns are the easier ones

    The easiest on Standard?

Hmmm, for HD, apart from what you’re already engaged in or have already completed, I’d say, Montezuma, El Cid, and Joan of Arc spare the final two levels which can be tricky, especially on Hard lol

If you ever get DE, you should definitely give the Britons Campaign a shot (Edward Longshanks I think?).

I had tons of fun with this campaign, and it wasn’t too difficult at all.

I think it’s one of the only campaigns where I beat it on the hardest difficulty.

El Cid, Genghis Khan and Montezuma are probably the easiest.

Saladin and Joan of Arc are easy too, but have big difficulty spike in last mission.
