Using Castle Age Hand Cannoneers Effectively

    As Bohemians in the game, this bonus is commonly activated, but I often feel unsure of its optimal usage. Moreover, I am not sure how to aggressively attack as Bohemians. Should I strive to reach imp before starting the offensive, or are there alternate methods, apart from building a castle near the enemy, to exert pressure on the opponent and their structures?

    Get a lot of farms (scouts opening makes sense here), defend with whatever you need in feudal and early castle age (probably skirms, maybe couple of spears) and go 1 tc triple range hc in castle age. Vs knights you don’t need anything but hc, vs large xbow numbers add mangos. Push through the middle and secure forward position with castle. Then it depends. Either boom behind or go imp faster than opponent.

    Kinda depends on the map.

    Hand cannons will basically win against most units in castle age provided you have enough numbers.
    However they are expensive to produce with a castle age eco.

    You can take out buildings a lot faster than a ball of xbows, and you outrange TC’s.

    For bohemians, feudal age archers into castle age Xbow with chemistry you can than consider replacing Xbows with Hand cannons, or keep making Xbows and go for arb.

    It really depends on the situation, but imo the bonus is situational.

    It’d great against meso lol. I played against incas and I had to back off and defend with skirms. He went full on fat eagle rush in castle and I went one TC hand cannons plus skirms and it was glorious
