Should Bengali Receive Further Adjustments in Upcoming Balance Patches?

I am not as knowledgeable as the rest of the AoE2 community when it comes to the game.
Therefore, I am looking to find out what people think of the current state of Bengali and if the developers are content with it or if they are considering any changes.

The civ is pretty fine imo.
The only thing that should be changed a bit is the ratha.
Not necessarily a buff just a bit of a rework to make it less awkward.
And maybe a bit cheaper but less hp so it fulfills a different role than elephant archer.
Bengalis are already in a good spot overall.
Strong on closed maps and water maps, and middle-of-the-road on Open maps.
The only thing that really needs looking at is the Ratha.
Unit is just absolute shite against every other unit in the game
Once more players can utilize their monks and ratha’s successfully we will be begging for them to be nerfed.
I’m getting good results using Bengalis on arena 1v1.
I would have liked to see something, but the recent Portuguese buff makes me apprehensive.
We’re seeing that giving a closed map civ a starting bonus for open maps straps a rocket on them when it comes back to closed maps
Still, maybe, ‘Start with +2 Villagers but -125 Food -25 Wood’?
It’s a better start than most civs, between the Chinese and Mayan ones and also fits with their other vill bonus
Make the Melee mode of Rathas not take bonus damage from skirms
Devs are ALWAYS planning/testing new changes.
Since DE came out, we’ve got 11 brand new civs.
Every single one of these was already changed/amended at least once so far, most multiple times.
Including Bengalis.
At what elo?
I have a hard time believing they are worse than Burmese in the current Arabia meta of xbow vs.
Xbow
Give them new Civ bonus:
• University and University techs available one age earlier (exclude towers)
This buffs the Bengalis in Castle age but doesn’t affect any of their late game power.
In which they are nearly OP once they get their elephants going, they just can’t get there.
It also buffs 2 of their Elephants, plus Rathas and Navy which keeps to their Civ theme.
Historically it also represents Nalanda University which is world famous.
3 vills per age plz.
Or buff the elephant bonus
Bengalis are plenty strong as they are.
Weak on open maps, but their late game potential makes them one of the strongest in closed maps.
They need either a real “Shock” unit like the knight, or the tools necessary to play the slow game.
Bengalis are top tier closed map civ and often seen in the tournament.
I don’t believe they need anything more buff.
Meanwhile, civ like goths, celts are completely out of meta and never seen in the tournament which need more buff in my eye ( Also Ethiopians, Vietnamese are never seen after archer nerf)
