Playing Age of Empires II on a Console Requires a Subscription

If you were hoping to be able to play the game with multiple people without having to pay for it like on Steam, I’m sorry to say that won’t be possible.
Nevertheless, have fun with the game!
that’s normal for for xbox multiplayer.
That’s been the case with any online multiplayer game for the xbox
Good call out for folks who don’t know!
It’s been standard console practice since Xbox 360 though, and now is true of all 3 consoles, even the Switch.
The only exception is for free games, which I believe all 3 consoles will allow you to play online without a subscription.
That’s crazy
Which is why I refuse to support those consoles
I have game pass it still won’t let me play online
