I think it’s quite disheartening that identified and potential cheaters are apparently not held accountable, which surely detracts from the tournament.
The punishments for this situation in particular seem fair, when looking at the evidence.
No major objection to the ban (considering that he had been warned in advance) and the sanction.
Focusing a bit more on Songsong, this should be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
He’s a really sketchy figure, having been involved several times in both proven and alleged cheating, plus the scandal he had in the past about charging for coaching that he didn’t give… it’s probably time for him to be given the middle finger by the community, not allowed in tournaments for the time being…
It took him one game in the main event to make the admins regret not banning him from the beginning.
I don’t think there’s much more to say, hopefully all tournament hosts will do the same.
Okay can someone tell us what is songsong cheating history?
Where can I watch AOE competitions?
what happened?
Saw the announcement, had no context on what happened
but if he cheated, did he tell his teammates?
if he did, should we punish him teammates as well?
what channel can i watch nations cup on, i always land on the liquipedia page?
Cheating?
In an RTS game?
Someone catch me up to speed on what’s going on.
Honestly I would generally cheer for Vietnam over China, but Vietnam’s win should be nullified.
Did they use butt plugs?
The chess world had a cheating accusation, then the media suggested butt plugs were involved and that’s all everyone could talk about.
Meanwhile Magnus Carlsen was probably thinking WTF, is anyone going to investigate or are we just going to giggle about butt plugs?
I like choccy milk.
How is it possible to cheat in an RTS game?
