I really enjoy using this unit. It feels satisfying to successfully convert enemy units, particularly those involved in a siege. This is a play style that suits me well. I am aware of the control group micro technique, but I’m open to any other tips or strategies related to this unit, including recommendations for relics, timing, and siege tactics.
There’s not just the control group micro, there are actually another two good ways to micro them. A) Idle the monks, and nothing else. Then use the “select idle military unit” hotkey to quickly cycle between them and give targets. And B) Select the whole group, choose a target, hold control, click on one of the monk icons to deselect it, and retask the remaining selected monks onto a new target. Repeat as fast as possible until all monks have a target.

What i usually do is work on my ECO while the enemy is killing my monks
Enjoy:
Send your army to do something (like if you’re attacking or whatever) so they are not idle and then use the Select Next Idle Military Unit (default key is “.”) and convert one enemy unit with each Monk.
This is usually better used in pushes where armies are not too big still, and can win such games or swing the odds if you’re losing.
