It seems like you have the ability to rewrite it in your own words, but for some reason, the option is not available.
You mean like causal etc. for the in game speed?
Before each custom match hit Y to go to game options. It’s where you select a map, starting age, game mode, AI difficulty, game speed, etc.
after you pick a Civ while hosting a lobby just hit Y it’ll show up 🙂
Online has a set speed obviously
