When playing these games and placing animals in the Mill after all the berries have been gathered, the food workers simply congregate around the mill rather than constructing farms.

Furthermore, any new builders appearing remain outside the Town Center instead of carrying out the tasks they have been automatically assigned.

Is this a glitch or is it supposed to be this way?

I get the bug where automation will stop and villagers who are idle remain idle and stand outside TC like you said.

I always fix it by resetting the resources allocation all to zero then put them back to where they were.

Seems to put them all back to work without manually having to click each one back to work.
