Have you ever noticed how villagers tend to stop what they are doing and wander off when attacked? What if the same mechanics were applied to cavalry and elephants when they are hit by flaming camels, to mimic the behavior of panicked animals? Could this potentially make them more effective in battle?
I’m still recovering from my army of elephants being pulverised on Amazon Tunnel. I still have PTSD. There is no need to simulate the panic, the players experience it first hand
Flaming camels kill anything on a horse or elephant you dont need to buff that. Their problem is being locked behind imp tech and can only be made from castle. Also if there is no gold cav they are usless.
They’re considered D-tier / meme / useless because they only work in a specific situation.
In that situation, they’re devastating.
It would make them more useful lol
Elephant archers must create panic among infantry then! What about Battle elephants!!!
They are already amazingly effective for a meme unit. By which I mean: They are niche, but in that niche they actually do their job. That’s more than I ever expected from them.
They are quite viable in x10 games 🤔
Yes – I mentioned a similar idea on a recent thread about massed elephants. It was downvoted, possibly because I dared to mention another game title where elephant ‘panic’ was well implemented.
