Today, during a ranked game with an elo of around 750, I found myself utilizing monks for the first time ever. I was playing as the Aztecs against the Franks on Black Forest. Despite losing all of my castles, town centers, and production buildings, I had managed to keep my 14 villagers and monastery. To defend myself, I built barracks around my monastery to produce pikes and hot-keyed 10 monks. After 10 minutes, my opponent resigned due to my deadly Aztec paladins. This victory was one of the most fulfilling wins I’ve ever experienced.
That’s got to be a t90 cast
RemindMe! 2 hours “monk happy hour”
That’s the most satisfying way to win, good job
Back in the day I only used monks on elephantos but after watching high level players I realize how power monks can be in many situations
How did you make each Monk a hotkey with an ELO of 750… such wizarddry isn’t for those of us below 1000.
When I play against the AI I love to sneak monks in behind the lines and then convert a few outlying villagers who then build towers and castles close to the enemy.
IMO paladins only made sense in the original aoe2… now they are so nerfed that I never bother researching or making them 😀
(I’m around 700elo, nothing special :D)
Fuck monks
Welcome to the clown side of aoe2!
How many conversions?
Aztec paladins on of the is best type of paladin.
Wouldn’t have them anywhere else.
Everybody plz ask T90 to cast this game, its low elo legends worthy 11
I would like to see your game, do you have it?
