NEDEAROCGuestI will vote against that. The game has civilizations that were living at the very least in the bronze age (e.g. Aztecs). The examples to vote were still in the neolithic, though I could be wrong about the Zapotecs and the Chimor. At some point we have to think about reaching peak AoEII and leave it there as to not spoil what is a great game.

KhwarezmGuestCan you put in an option for only South American and Central American? I wouldn’t mind seeing Zapotecs, Purépecha, Chimor and Mapuche, I don’t really think the likes of the Iroquois or Cahokia are appropriate for this game.
Also I’m not sure what room there is left for trying to come up with more civs that don’t have access to any cavalry or gunpowder.

Tyrann01GuestI clicked “all the Americas” assuming it just meant South & Central. North American civs are exceedingly difficult to implement due to lack of information, and reworking a massive amount of the tech tree for them to even function.
I’d also add that you could have the Tlaxcala as another Central American civ as well. As they were their own political identity and culture, separate from the Aztecs. Militarily they were also pretty impressive in their own right; they would have crushed the Spanish if there wasn’t a sue for peace.

SHABOOM_GuestIf North America civs were added, it would be Mississippians and Puebloans.

iate13coffeecupsGuestIt would be better to add Armenians, Georgians, Tibetians, Jurchens, or more African civs such as Ghanians, Zimbabweans, Mossi, or Somalis.

Beneficial-Salt-8273GuestTlaxcalans : with huge team bonus when playing with the Spanish, and weak vs the Aztecs 1v1

Gaudio590GuestI would only like 1 more American civ, maybe Chimus, Muisca or Mississipians. Considering we’re running out of space for new civs I think there are other priorities around the world.

AngsDGuestYes to all, but I think it’s important to make civs that fit for the time period – if anything because *yes they existed* – Mississippians, Anasazi/Pueblo, etc. Iroquis/Haudenausee hit just the back part of the time period and are appropriate. There was some really cool stuff going on that actually somewhat fit the civ model; agrarian and urbanized enough civs with some really cool stuff they did, architectural styles and such.

doritobutterflyGuestIt would be cool to have Comanche as a cavalry archers civ with long houses or something, like a quasi huns civ but at the end of the day Indian civs just would be extremely difficult to justify in the game

isadotanameGuestI don’t see there being much more to do with a no cav civ. We already have infantry focused, archer focused, and generalist focused civs. Without a quarter of tech tree the options become limited very quickly.
