Did They Provide the AI with Onager Tree Cutting Strategies?

I was engaged in a video game with my buddies where we were facing a team of expert computer-controlled opponents in “Amazon Tunnel”. After an hour and a half of gameplay, foes materialized within my fortress. To my surprise, the AI had created a direct passage by carving through the woods and had attacked me with an Onager. Although I’ve invested over 1000 hours playing this game, this was a remarkable upgrade that I had never encountered before.
Yeah, surprisingly this has been around for awhile. The reason you may not have noticed until now is that they’re kinda dumb about it. Sometimes they just don’t finish the tunnel, sometimes they cut in the wrong direction. You found one of the rare times when they got it right!
They usually do it for longer trade routes. Only on Michi have I noticed them doing it to attack.
Yeah. I also noticed they can cut trees to the edge of the map just to make trading more efficient
