Hello! Does anyone know how to create a map in Age of Empires II: The Conquerors with the Captain’s Edition? Is it necessary to manually enter details for each map into a custom preset, or is there a more straightforward way to do it with existing maps?

Yes. You can get most map previews from liquipedia.
