Crashing game repeatedly

Two weeks ago, I began playing AoE again and encountered no problems.
However, I’ve recently experienced random crashes during multiplayer games without any notifications.
Following a guide, I uninstalled the game and deleted all its folders, which temporarily resolved the issue.
Nonetheless, I’m currently facing problems again despite deactivating every mod except for updated small trees.
I’m playing on Steam on 2k and my system specifications include Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 3080, and 32 GB DDR4 3733 MHz RAM.
Can anyone offer help?

Disabled nvidia game overlay and haven’t seen the issue since – give it a try
I have been having the same issue for a number of weeks – have attempted a number of fixes with no change.
Started about 2 weeks ago, game always worked fine before then.
Disable all overlays you can think of, Nvidia, Steam, Discord…
and add the whole folder of the game to your antivirus exception list, if you use antivirus software.
