Been saying this for years, few listen sadly.
Solves many of the problems and its not like overhauling the current crap shoot we call DE lobbies is a bad thing… im sure those who actively use lobbies would be all for tbe idea of static lobbies they return to post match, different elo for gamemodes and types, better communication elements. Now… if we could add a friend system too.
The current matchmaking system is horrible, leads to almost universally unbalanced games, they say match times are better but they ignore the fact that only one in three games goes beyond early castle, and one in three has a disconnect at the start…
Bugs can be dealt with much better as players have options to save and exit to restore, malicious players cant persist too long without having either constant name changes (remedyable), or making constant new accounts, which then they are only annoying the larger low elo playerbase which is less gratifying and harder to do.
There is also the multi games effect of lobby groups which allow you to do multiple games with the same playerset which works wonders with balanced teams to get just minutes between each matchup. Resulting in unmatchable quality of games and quantity of games by the festering sewage produced by auto matchmaking.
They argue that it would split the playerbase… which I call full BS on. The playerbase would congregate in one section and cause the alternative to dry up, the devs refuse to even give the choice.
