SLX Studio

SLX Studio is a modding toolset designed for creating and editing SMX, SLP, and DRS files.

Key Features of SLX Studio:

Conversion Tools: Convert SLX to SLP or SMX, and extract SLP or SMX to SLX. Batch processing is also supported.
Format Compatibility: Supports both 8-bit and 32-bit SLP formats, including special support for Terrain, AoE1, AoE1DE SLP, and AoE2DE SMX files.
DRS File Management: Extract or create DRS files for different games.
Anchor/Hotspot Tools: Double-click on a graphic to quickly set anchor/hotspot positions. Supports importing and exporting CSV files.
Selection Tools: Display selection boxes (rectangular and ring-shaped).
Data Graphics Tool: Generate graphics with adjustable tolerance bars for shadows and player colors. Automatically crops images, creates outlines, and can separate shadows into a dedicated SLX file. This tool is essential for converting SLX files to SLP or SMX formats.
Color Palette Editor/Viewer: Supports multiple formats including JASC (.pal), Microsoft (.pal), Photoshop (.act), GIMP (.gpl), and rendering to .png. Includes several built-in, commonly used palettes.
Terrain Tools: Create terrain SLPs of any size (rows and columns). Convert texture images into isometric terrain maps.
Graphics and DRS Viewer: Browse and preview graphics and DRS files.
File Association Support: Open SLX, SLP, SMX, SMP, DRS, DDS, PAL/PALX, and other formats directly.
Animated GIF Support: Create animated GIFs with transparency.
SLX Animation Playback: Play SLX animations with adjustable speed.
Image Zoom: Zoom into individual frames for detailed editing.
FX Editor: Add effects to frames such as sparks, weapon fire, engine flames, transparency effects, holocrons, relics, and more.
Delta Object Positioner: Determine object positions for effects like snow and fire on buildings. Export these as CSV files for use in AGE.
Custom Settings: Configure preferences in the .ini file.
